Sundarpatan Hunting Reserve

Nepal

13 species DLC · Sundarpatan Nepal Hunting Reserve

The Sundarpatan Hunting Reserve spans over all three major biomes in Nepal: Himal (high mountains), Pahad (middle mountains, or "hills") and Terai (tropical plains). Among hunters, it is world-famous for its highly coveted trophies: Blue Sheep ("Naur" in Nepali) and Tahr. As one of Nepal's Protected Areas, and thanks to the hunting fees it collects from tourists, Sundarpatan contributes to the country's efforts to both protect threatened species (such as the elusive Snow Leopard and iconic Bengal Tiger) and develop local communities in an integrated way.
